Weather	The best time to visit is late spring through early autumn (May–September), when the weather is warm and ideal for sightseeing or enjoying the outdoors. Summers can be hot so pack light clothing along with a hat and sunscreen. In the mountains, evenings may be cooler—so bring a sweater or jacket. Winters (December–February) are cold and snowy, perfect if you’re interested in skiing at resorts like Jahorina or Bjelašnica. Fall (October–November) is also a lovely time to visit, with colorful foliage, mild weather, and fewer crowds.
Money & Credit Cards	Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted credit cards in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in larger hotels, restaurants, and shops. Smaller businesses, local eateries, and markets are often cash-only, so it’s best to keep some convertible marks on hand for everyday purchases. American Express is accepted only at select upscale venues, and Discover and Diners Club are rarely used. Always notify your bank before you travel to avoid issues when using your cards abroad.
